Technique #1: Removing the patch with the help of iron

  1. Gather an Iron along with an Ironing board. If you don't have an ironing board, no worries! You can also use a piece of towel.
  2. Place the item so that the cloth part of the patch is exposed.
  3. Please turn on the iron to such a setting that it does not damage the fabric of your item.
  4. First, as a precautionary measure, apply the iron to see whether the item's fabric is damaged.
  5. If it gets damaged, then the Iron technique is not suitable for your item.
  6. If it does not get damaged, place a thin piece of cloth or wax paper on top of the patch.
  7. After placing a protective layer on the patch, apply iron for 15 seconds.
  8. Observe whether the glue of your patch is softened or not.
  9. If the glue is not softened, apply the iron again for 15 seconds.
  10. Once the glue is softened, peel the patch of the item.
  11. Use both your hands to peel the patch. Place one hand on the patch's edge and use the other hand to peel it off.
  12. If you find it difficult to peel off the patch with your hands, use tweezers.

Technique #2: Removing the patch with the help of an adhesive remover

  1. Firstly, you will need to purchase an adhesive remover, preferably liquid-based.
  2. Test the remover on an old piece of cloth by spraying it or pouring it onto the fabric and letting it soak.
  3. If the liquid causes your fabric to be discolored, don't use it further.
  4. If it does not, then continue the procedure.
  5. The procedure involves placing the cloth upside down where you want to remove the patch.
  6. Pour or spray the adhesive remover over the fabric part of the patch and let it soak.
  7. After a few minutes, see whether the patch has loosened.
  8. If it's loosened, try peeling it off; if it does not come off, use scissors.
  9. Hopefully, you will have your patch removed with the help of an adhesive remover.

Technique #3: Removing the patch with the help of a Hair Dryer

  1. Gather a hair dryer and heat it.
  2. Place the cloth upside down.
  3. Apply the hair dryer to the clothing part of the patch to melt the glue.
  4. After a few minutes, check whether the patch comes off or not.
  5. If not, keep hair-drying the patch until the patch comes off.
